Mongolian/Siberian spiritual beliefs are complicated and sophisticated. There are several spiritual callings besides the well-known shaman. These callings differ somewhat from tribe to tribe. Among the Dagur Mongols, they are a very important part of their society. Below are descriptions of the various spiritual callings.
