Another Altai Turk drum shows very complex symbolism. In this depiction the dividing line seems to separate the middle world from the upper. The shaman is inside a house in the middle world, with a horse outside and a turtle and fish probably representing the water spirits. In the upper world the top of the drum is dominated by the sun and moon and the Venuses of night and morning. Below them appears to be a flying star, and the gridlike patterms resemble the nine-holed pattern on sacrificial spoons (sasali), but may represent constellations. There are seven white birds, some with four legs, and a single black bird with what appears to be a human head. There are also three white horses and three bleack horses, and three apparent turge trees.
